After a scoreless first period, Elliot Desnoyers gave Halifax a 1-0 lead in the opening seconds of the second period.

Jacob Stewart tied things up for the Wildcats early in the third period.

Cole Foston answered back later in the period to restore the Herd's lead but Stewart responded with his second of the evening to make it 2-2.
