Tigres drop Mooseheads 5-2

The Victoriaville Tigres topped the Halifax Mooseheads 5-2 Saturday night at the Scotiabank Centre.

Vincent Sevigny opened up the scoring giving Victoriaville an early 1-0 lead.

Landon Miron made it 1-1 a short time later but Brooklyn Kalmikov and Alexander Peresunko responded with back-to-back goals to make it 3-1 Tigres.

Senna Peeters eventually answered back to bring the Herd back within one after 20 minutes.

Kalmikov and Conor Frenette added a pair of goals to make it a 5-2 final in Victoriaville's favour.

The Mooseheads will be at home on Sunday when they welcome the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
