The Chicoutimi Sagueneens dominated the Halifax Mooseheads Friday night, picking up a 8-3 victory at the Scotiabank Centre.

The Sags dominated the opening frame as former Moosehead Raphael Lavoie opening up the scoring, followed by Tristan Pelletier, Samuel Houde and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard.

Denis Toner eventually put the Herd on the board in the second period but Felix-Antoine Marcotty scored a last second goal to restore Chicoutimi's four goal lead heading into the final period.

Karl Boudrias and Vladislav Kotkov added to the Sags' lead with Toner scored his second of the evening a short time later.

Jeffrey Burridge added another tally for the Mooseheads but Patrick Kyte scored his first as a Sagueneen to seal the deal.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Sunday when they welcome the Charlottetown Islanders.
