The Quebec Remparts picked up a 5-4 shootout win over the Halifax Mooseheads on Saturday night.

After a scoreless first period, Zack Jones put the Herd on the board early in the second period.

Nathan Gaucher and Darien Kielb scored a pair of goals to give Quebec a 2-1 lead.

Senna Peeters tied it up for the Mooseheads but Anthony Gagnon restored the Remparts' one goal lead.

Hunter Holmes added to Quebec's lead to make it 4-2 after 40 minutes.

Marcel Barinka brought the Herd within one early in the third with Peeters tying things up at 4-4, forcing overtime.

Neither team managed to ice it during overtime, so it went to a shootout where the Remparts won it.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Shawinigan on Sunday to take on the Cataractes.
