Mooseheads snap losing streak with 7-4 win over Islanders

The Halifax Mooseheads are back in the win column after picking up a 7-4 win over the Charlottetown Islanders.

Kevin Gursoy and Landon Miron put the Herd up 2-0 in the opening period.

The Islanders came backa as Brett Budgell and Ethan Crossman helped tie things up at 2-2.

The Mooseheads came back as Jeffrey Burridge and Lucas Robinson helped restore Halifax's two goal lead.

Marcel Barinka and Robinson extended that lead to 6-2.

Zack Jones added to Halifax's lead early in the final period.

Cole Edwards scored twice in response but it wasn't enough as the Mooseheads held on to win 7-4.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Moncton to take on the Wildcats.
