The Halifax Mooseheads' season is on hold after the Canadian Hockey League announced it would be suspending operations due to concerns over COVID-19.

CHL President Dan MacKenzie met with the commissioners of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League and Western Hockey League Thursday.

After consulting with medical professionals and weighing recommendations from local, provincial, and federal health agencies, the group has decided to pause all hockey activity immediately.

The Halifax Mooseheads say they'll be making further announcements, including details on ticket information, as soon as possible.
