HALIFAX - The Halifax Mooseheads extend their losing streak to three straight after falling to the Charlottetown Islanders 3-1 on Friday night.

The Islanders put Halifax in a hole early, with Brett Budgell and Nikita Alexandrov scoring back-to-back goals to make it 2-0 after 20 minutes.

Zack Jones scored the Herd's lone goal midway through the second.

But Cédric Desruisseaux sealed the deal with an empty netter to make it a 3-1 final for the Islanders.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Saturday when they welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
