Cape Breton would eventually respond in the second with two goals from Nathan Larose and one from Francois-James Buteau to give the Eagles a 3-2 lead.

Liam Peyton tied things up for the Herd in the third period but Connor Trenholm restore Cape Breton's lead.

Orr scored his second of the evening to tie things up for the Mooseheads at 4-4 and forcing overtime where Jarrett Baker netted the game winner for the Eagles.
