Mooseheads extend win streak with 4-1 win over Islanders

The Halifax Mooseheads extended their winning streak to five straight on Monday after defeating the Charlottetown Islanders 4-1 at the Eastlink Centre.

Max Trepanier scored twice in the opening frame to make it 2-0 after 20 minutes.

Senna Peeters extended the Herd's lead to 3-0 on a power play goal late in the second period.

Raphael Lavoie found the back of the Islanders in the third period.

Kevin Gursoy put Charlottetown on the board in the final minute but it wasn't enough as Halifax walked away victorious.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Cape Breton to take on the Eagles.
