Mooseheads end Quebec roadtrip with 3-2 win over Huskies

The Halifax Mooseheads ended their Quebec roadtrip with a 3-2 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Saturday night.

Benoit-Olivier Groulx put Halifax on the board early with Max Trepanier following up late in the period to make it 2-0 Herd. 

Vincent Marleau scored on a power play to cut the Herd's lead in half with seconds left in the opening frame.

Justin Barron would eventually restore Halifax's two goal lead midway through the second period.

Justin Bergeron made it a one goal game in the third period but it wasn't enough as the Herd managed to skate away with a 3-2 victory.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday when they welcome the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
