Mooseheads dominate in 10-2 win over Eagles

Elliot Desnoyers scored four goals to help lead the Herd to victory

The Halifax Mooseheads picked up a dominant 10-2 win over the Cape Breton Eagles on Saturday night.

The Mooseheads got off to a strong start as Zachary L'Heureux and Elliot Desnoyers put the Herd up by two after 20 minutes.

Felix Lafrance put the Eagles on the board near the midway point of the second period. 

Landon Miron restored Halifax's two goal lead a short time later.

Bobby Orr added to the Herd's lead in the final period with Miron following up with his second of the evening to make it 5-1.

Desnoyers scored back-to-back goals to make it 7-1.

James Swan and Liam Peyton extended Halifax's lead to 9-1.

Lucas Canning scored Cape Breton's second of the evening, but Desnoyers answered back with his fourth of the night to make it a 10-2 final.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday when they welcome the Moncton Wildcats
