The Halifax Mooseheads won 6-1 when the team played the Cape Breton Eagles at the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday.
The sole goal in the first period was scored by the Moosehead's Landon Miron.
Émile Hegarty-Aubin scored the Eagle's only goal of the game more than five minutes into the second period.
Elliot Desnoyers scored two goals for the Mooseheads before the end of the period, and then a third in the last period.
Zachary L'Heureux and Cameron Whynot scored two more goals for the Mooseheads in the final period of play.
The Mooseheads will next face the Charlottetown Islanders on Saturday.
