Halifax Mooseheads' defenceman Justin Barron is expected to return to the Halifax Mooseheads lineup this week.

After being diagnosed with a blood clot, the 18-year-old Halifax native was sidelined on Nov. 30.

Almost three months later, the team now says Barron has been cleared to play.

He's planning to make the road trip to Saint John Wednesday night.

Last month Barron placed 15th on the list of North American skaters in the NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings, which pegs him as a first-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
