CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Charlottetown Islanders handed the Halifax Mooseheads their second straight loss, winning 5-2 Saturday night.

Charlottetown got off to a great start as Gaetan Jobin, Thomas Casey and Cole Edwards scored three consecutive goals to make it 3-0 after 20 minutes.

Zachary Beauregard extended the Islanders' lead early in the second period.

Jeffrey Burridge put Halifax on the board but Edwards responded with his second of the evening to restore Charlottetown's four-goal lead.

Senna Peeters found the back of Charlottetown's net early in the third period but it wasn't enough as the Islanders held on to win 5-2.

The Mooseheads are back at the Scotiabank Centre next Friday to take on the Islanders.
