The Charlottetown Islanders defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 4-3 in overtime on Friday night.
James Swan put the Mooseheads on the board late in the first period.
Robert Orr added to the Herd's lead in the second period while Cedric Desruisseaux eventually put the Islanders on the board to make it 2-1.
Brett Budgell tied things up for Charlottetown but Liam Peyton restored the Herd's lead a short time after.
They were all tied up again after Thomas Casey found the back of Halifax's net, forcing overtime.
Lukas Cormier eventually scored the game winner for Charlottetown.
The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Sunday when they welcome the Cape Breton Eagles.
