Senna Peeters scored his 10th of the season as the Halifax Mooseheads fell to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, 2-1 in a shootout.
Nathan Légaré opened the scoring in the second period after both teams struggled to find the net in period one.
Just a little over six minutes later, Peeters scored a power play goal, tying a game where Halifax failed to get many chances.
Halifax had only four shots on goal in the second period, while the Drakkar had 17.
With the game tied after 60 minutes, both teams skated into overtime where both teams registered a couple shots, but the goaltenders kept the game tied.
It was the first shootout game for Halifax this season.
The first five shooters had no luck solving the goaltenders, but Gabriel Fortier of the Drakkar ended up giving Baie-Comeau a 2-1 shootout victory.
The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Saturday night when they welcome the Moncton Wildcats.
