The Cape Breton Eagles snapped the Halifax Mooseheads' five game winning streak with a 5-3 win at Centre 200 Friday night.
The Eagles got off to a strong start with Ryan Francis and Ivan Ivan putting Cape Breton up 2-0 after 20 minutes.
Patty Kyte eventually put Halifax on the board late in the second period to make it 2-1. Egor Sokolov restored Cape Breton's two goal lead a short time later.
Halifax came out strong in the third with Zack Jones and Raphael Lavoie adding two for the Herd and tying things up at 3-3.
Derek Gentile put Cape Breton back in front not long after and Shaun Miller added one more to seal the deal for the Eagles.
The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Saturday to welcome the Eagles as rivalry weekend continues.
