The Cape Breton Eagles topped the Halifax Mooseheads 6-4 on Sunday.
The Mooseheads got off to a strong start as Landon Miron and Zach Jones netted a pair to give the Herd a 2-0 lead.
The Eagles came back in a big way in the second period as Dawson Stairs scored twice while Emile Hegarty-Aubin and Jeremy Langlois each netted a goal to make it 4-2 Cape Breton.
Jarrett Baker and Nathan Larose extended that lead early in the third period.
Miron responded with two goals to complete the hat-trick, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles held on to win 6-4.
The Mooseheads will make their way to Cape Breton on Wednesday to take on the Eagles, once again.
