Woman charged with stunting near Dartmouth playground

Halifax Regional Police say a driver was clocked going more than twice the speed limit down Main Street in Dartmouth Thursday afternoon.

They say a Tangier woman was travelling 103 km/h in a 50 km/h zone just before 3:30 p.m. near the Robert Drive Park playground.

The 20-year-old has been charged with stunting. Her vehicle was seized and she was issued a one week suspension from driving.

The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver's record.

Police ask anyone who spots a dangerous driver to call 911.
