Two men arrested following alleged Friday night robbery

Both men were arrested at a residence in Halifax before midnight.

Two men have been arrested following a robbery on Chain Lake Drive in Halifax Friday evening.

In a police release, Halifax Police say an employee approached two males, suspected of stealing products from the business.

According to police, one of the males threatened the employee with a knife before fleeing.

There were no reported injuries.

During an investigation, police located the two suspects just before midnight.

A 25 year old Dartmouth man faces charges of theft under $5000 and has an upcoming court date, while a 48 year old Halifax man is in custody for charges of robbery, uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
