Two people have been charged in an ongoing drug investigation that led Halifax Regional Police to ask the public to avoid an area of Fairview early Saturday morning.
Police say investigators with the drug section ended up seizing cocaine, opioids and over $3,500 during the search of a Frederick Avenue residence.
Two people were arrested at the scene.
A 45-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both from Halifax, will be in court at a later date to face charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
