Police are investigating a break-and-enter into a school that took place early Monday morning.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m., officers responded to Park West School after a resident reported hearing several youths on school property.

Upon arrival, police found a ground level window was broken and a classroom had sustained property damage.

A short time later, police found and arrested a 16-year-old male nearby without incident.

He is being charged with break and enter and property damage.

He was later released on a promise to appear in youth court at a later date and issued an undertaking.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of additional suspects is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
