Six people from Halifax Regional Municipality and Hants County are facing charges in an investigation into an illegal online cannabis distribution network, started by Windsor District RCMP in May 2019.

Earlier this month Mounties searched homes in HRM, along with Hants and Kings counties. RCMP say officers seized a "considerable amount" of cannabis products and over $20,000.

Seven men were arrested, one was released without charges.

The remaining six range in age from 22 to 33 years of age and face the following charges:

  • Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
  • Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Money laundering

RCMP say the investigation continues and more charges are anticipated.
