Police search for suspect after sexual assault in Point Pleasant Park

Police say a man approached a woman near the Young Ave. entrance and tried to touch her in a sexual manner

Halifax Regional Police are looking for a suspect after a sexual assault in Point Pleasant Park Thursday.

They say at around 12:20 p.m., a man approached a woman he didn't know near the Young Ave. entrance and tried to touch her in a sexual manner.

He's described as in his late 20s or early 30s. around 5'8" with a dark complexion, slim build and a closely shaved beard.

He had been wearing dark pants, a baseball cap and had a dark backpack.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
