Police release short video of suspect in assault at McDonald's drive-thru (video)

Halifax Regional Police have released a short video of a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that took place last week in a McDonald’s drive-thru.

Officers were called to the Spryfield fast food restaurant on Herring Cove Rd. at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8.

They were told the victim was inside his vehicle when a man struck him with what was described as a metal object.

The victim was taken to hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. 

The suspect drove off in what's believed to be a dark-coloured Ford Fusion. 

He's described as a white man between 25 and 35 years old, around 5'8" with a thin build and short dark hair.

The suspect had been wearing a grey T-shirt, sunglasses and mask, with a light-coloured hat and pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
