UPDATE: HRP say Scott David Desrosiers has been arrested by Liverpool RCMP

Halifax Regional Police are looking for a man who failed to return to a community corrections facility in Burnside.

Police were notified at around 9 a.m. Friday that Scott David Desrosiers didn't go back to the Jamieson Community Correction Center on Morris Dr. Thursday evening.

Fifty-two-year-old Desrosiers is described as white, 6-feet-tall, 185 pounds and bald.

He may be carrying a large backpack and a fishing pole

Anyone who sees someone fitting Desrosiers' description is asked to not approach him and to immediately call 911.

This is the second time in about 6 weeks that an offender housed at the facility has gone missing.

In late May, Joshua James Turner was reported missing. He was located and arrested by police a few hours later.
