Police investigate shooting in Dartmouth (update)

Police say a male teen has been taken to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a shooting in Dartmouth.

Police were called to Courtney Rd., off Windmill Rd. in the Tufts Cove area, just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

They say a male teen has been taken to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.

Courtney Rd. was closed to traffic for much of the day while police investigated, but it has since reopened.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
