UPDATE: At 6:14 p.m. Halifax Regional Police sent a news release out saying they have cleared the scene, and have confirmed no injuries or property damage in relation to this incident.

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a report of gunfire in a north end neighbourhood.
They were called to Lynch Street just before 4 p.m. Friday after getting a complaint about a man wearing a black hoodie and a face covering discharging a firearm.
As of 5:05 p.m. some streets are blocked in the area for the investigation, including Vestry between Novalea and Barrington.
Police say there is "no known threat to public safety at this time" and they'll provide more details when they have them.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
