UPDATE: Two charged in ongoing drug investigation


UPDATE: According to a news release sent out at 9:25 a.m., Halifax Regional Police has concluded its operation.

"We thank everyone for their cooperation and are no longer asking the public to stay away from this area," the news release says.


Since earlier this morning, Halifax Regional Police has been conducting an operation in Fairview in Halifax.

Police ask people to avoid the 100-200 block of Frederick Avenue off of Hillcrest Street as officers conduct an ongoing operation.

"There is no risk to public safety as a result of this situation," says a news release. "The public is advised to avoid the area until further notice to assist police with their activities."

HRP issued the news release at 5:17 a.m. and says it will provide further updates when available.
