Pedestrian believed to have life-threatening injuries in Clayton Park collision

UPDATE: Halifax Regional Police say a 74-year-old woman has died of her injuries after being struck by a pick-up truck.

A female pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Clayton Park.

Halifax Regional Police were called to the intersection of Dunbrack Street and Clayton Park Drive at around 1:20 p.m.

As of 2:15 p.m. Tuesday,  Dunbrack Street is closed to traffic between Lacewood Drive and Clayton Park Drive.

Drivers are asked to find another route to avoid delays.

Police say the investigation is still in its early stages and they will release more information when it's available.
