Man ticketed for stunting on Main Street

A stunting charge comes with a fine of $2,422.50

A 27-year-old man has been charged with stunting in Dartmouth.

He was pulled over at around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday after Halifax Regional Police say a vehicle was going over 130 km/h in a 70 km/h zone of Main Street.

A stunting charge is automatic when a vehicle is travelling more than 50 km/h over the speed limit. 

It comes with a fine of $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver's record. 

In addition, man was suspended from driving for seven days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.
