Man charged with stunting on Highway 111

The fine for stunting is $2,422.50

A 30-year-old man has been charged with stunting Wednesday morning.

Halifax Regional Police say he was pulled over on Highway 111 near Main Street at around 7 a.m. after an officer caught the vehicle going 133 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

The fine for stunting is $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver's record. 

In addition, the man's licence was suspended for a week and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Anyone who spots a dangerous driver is asked to call 911.
