Yesterday, Halifax Regional Police issued 45 tickets for speeding and other motor vehicle-related offences.

Members from the HRP Traffic Unit issued 45 summary offence tickets: 12 for speeding and 33 for other offences including no insurance, expired plates, no license and using cell phones while driving.

Officers spent time in the Coburg Road, Vernon Street, Jubilee Road, Kempt Road and Quinpool Road areas of Halifax as well as the Mount Hope Avenue and Highway 111 areas in Dartmouth in relation to community concerns.

In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.
