A Five Mile River man has been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography and sexual interference.

RCMP started an investigation in late November, which led to police searching a home in Five Mile River on Dec. 16 and arresting a suspect.

Colin Wesley Pynn, 42, is scheduled to appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on March 1.

Reporting suspected child pornography is mandatory in Nova Scotia.

"Failing to report suspicious activity and materials could result in penalties similar to failure to report child abuse set out in the Child and Family Services Act," said Mounties in a news release.
