A Dartmouth man has been handed a hefty fine after being charged with stunting on Highway 111.

Halifax Regional Police say an officer captured the vehicle's speed at 105 km/h in a 50 km/h zone near Pleasant Street.

In addition to the ticket for $2,422.50 and six points assigned to the driver's record, the 18-year-old has been suspended from driving for a week and the vehicle he was driving was seized and towed.

Police say he was also ticketed for driving while revoked.

Anyone who spots a dangerous driver is asked to report it by calling 911.
