Halifax District RCMP have handed out ten more $2,422.00 fines under the Health Protection Act.

The first four tickets were handed out after police pulled over a vehicle just before 2 a.m. Thursday on Highway 7 in Port Dufferin.

Mounties say three people in the car were from Indian Brook and the fourth was from Shubenacadie.

They were charged with non-essential travel outside of the municipality where they primarily reside.

Then at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, RCMP were called to a "disturbance" on Caldwell Rd. in Eastern Passage.

Arriving officers found six people who were not physically distancing.

Four males and two females between the ages of 15 and 21 were charged with not following social distancing requirements.
