Age 91 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2017 in Parkstone Enhanced Care.
Born in Lunenburg in 1926, he was the son of William and Ardella Nowe. He was predeceased by his sister, Alice; brother, Everett; and his son, Richard.
Bazil is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Maxine (Michael), Claudia; son, Andrew (Colleen) and six grandchildren.
Bazil attended St. Frances Xavier, Kings College, and Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California. An avid “HAM” operator (VEIATF). He had a distinguished career as a Lt. Commander in the armed forces for over 25 years. After military retirement he taught at Dartmouth Vocational, and NSIT. He was a founding member of the Halifax Royal Astronomer Society. His many hobbies were reading, painting, camping, gardening and going home to Lunenburg.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 21 at 11:00 am in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road, Dartmouth, officiated by Frank Kohler. Interment will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenberg at a later date.
