Luddington, “Keith” Embree, of Goldboro formerly of New Harbour. The role was called and Keith went home to glory Oct 7, 2018 at his home. Born in New Harbour, he was the son of the late John C. and Maude (Henderson) Luddington. He was a lifelong inshore fisherman and worked as Foreman for Tidewater Construction Company. Keith was a very faithful member of New Harbour United Baptist Church and always supported the communities along the eastern shore attending special events.
Keith is survived by his wife Bessie Skodje, son; Wayne (Sandy); daughter, Valerie (Elroy) Mattatall; his pride and joy, the FOUR grandsons, Douglas (Melanie), Keith (Carol), Jeremy (Krista), Cory, 6 great grandchildren; very special stepdaughter; Karen; stepchildren; Ingrid, Angela, Jeffrey; brother, Carl (Shirley); sister, Helen Sangster.
He was predeceased by his first wife Shirley (Gammon); stepmother, Annie
Arrangements are under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home Dartmouth and Giffins Funeral Home Country Harbour. Visitation will take place in New Harbour United Baptist Church, 29 Sangster Road, New Harbour, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service to be held on 2 PM Wednesday in the church. Rev David Wheeler officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Keith's memory may be made to The New Harbour Cemetery Improvement Assoc., or to New Harbour United Baptist Church. A
reception will be held following the burial in the New Harbour Community Center.
