HAMILTON (Nee Phipps), Frances “Pat” Gwyneth – Age 100 of Halifax, passed away peacefully July 23, 2020 at Parkstone Enhanced Care Halifax, NS.

In 2004 Pat was predeceased by her husband, Robert John “Bert” Hamilton; In 2008, by her sister, Helen Valerie Collard, Victoria, B.C.

After leaving the Library, she and Bert lived near Bridgewater. While there, she was an active participant in South Shore crafting and quilting groups. In 1994, Pat and Bert moved back to Halifax, renewing past friendships.

After Bert passed away, Pat retain a strong interest in politics, and enjoyed going for drives, usually with Dennis Fris, whom she considered her “best friend”, and who was her care giver for 15 years.

After slowly deteriorating health, Pat moved into the Parkstone Enhanced Care Residence last September. Where, in April of this year, she celebrated her 100th birthday with friends.

Her family, work colleagues and friends, will remember Pat for her quick wit, and determination.

Pat is survived by her son Roy James “Jim” his wife Jeanne, Newmarket Ontario; granddaughter, Melissa Anne Hamith; great grandson Jacob George Hamith, St. Thomas Ontario; “favourite” nephew, Daryl Collard, Victoria, B.C.
