DUNHAM, Lewis Archie

Age 85 of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the Hants Community Health Centre, Windsor. Born in Lake Egmont, he was a son of the late Oscar and Nellie Dunham. Archie is survived by his brother, David (Donna) Dunham, Lower Sackville; his sons, David (Dianne) Dunham, Lower Sackville; James (Shelley) Tanner, Debert; his wonderful grandchildren, Jayme Tanner, Billy Morgan, Andrew Tanner and Lewis Dunham; many great-grandchildren; and extended family, Al Bouchie. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Elizabeth (Hibberts) Dunham; along with brothers, Fred and Keith Dunham; sisters, Jenny Mathews and Bonnie Wright. He was employed with The Halifax Regional Water Commission until 1992 when he retired. Archie enjoyed, going fishing and hunting, going for walks, playing darts, spending time at his camp in Devlin, watching wrestling and listening to his records, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, April 16th, from 6-9 p.m. in T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, 85 Sackville Cross Rd. A service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Linda Yates on Tuesday, April 17th, at 2 p.m., St. Paul's United Church, 117 Lake Egmont Rd., Antrim. Thank you to the staff at the Cobequid Community Health Centre, QEII Health Sciences Centre and Hants Community Health Centre, for all their care and support we received. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church or to The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
