Small earthquake detected near Yarmouth

An earthquake was recorded rumbling between Digby and Yarmouth on Saturday morning.

The quake was measured by Earthquakes Canada as a 3.1 magnitude quake, while the U.S. Geological Survey measured it as a 2.5 earthquake

It was detected off the point of Digby Neck and about 42.8 km from Yarmouth.

The quake was measured at a depth of approximately 14 km.

The U.S. Geological Survey detected the quake, with no reports of any damage in the area.
