RCMP respond to weapons call on Pictou Landing First Nation (update)

Mounties say they have a suspect in custody
Beach Road, Pictou County

UPDATE: Just before 10 a.m. RCMP said they had a suspect in custody and there is no risk to public safety.


RCMP in Nova Scotia say they are on the scene of a weapons call on Beach Road in Pictou County.

Mounties are asking residents of the area to stay inside their homes and add they will provide updates as soon as they are available.

Chief of the Pictou Landing First Nation Andrea Paul sent out a notice to residents on her Facebook page earlier this morning and called it a 'serious incident'.
