Chéticamp man dead after motorcycle collision on Cabot Trail

The two motorcycles collided shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Inverness RCMP say that a man has died after two motorcycles collided on the Cabot Trail on Saturday evening.

The accident occurred in Grand Étang and a 72 year old Cheticamp man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 67 year old man from Oyster Pond was transported to a local hospital, but was later transferred to the QEII with serious injuries.

The highway was closed for several hours, and the Mounties will continue to investigate the accident.
