Even after 10 years of wedding planning, Stephanie Brown still cries at every ceremony.

“Every single time, the ceremonies just get create such a relationship with people when you’re planning their wedding,” she said.

Brown is the owner of Sky’s the Limit, an event planning company located on 1574 Argyle St. that offers a range of services including design and decor, coordination of vendors, and set-up on the day of.

“We’re super flexible,” she said. “We cater to exactly what the customer needs.”

Along with weddings, Sky’s the Limit also does corporate events, galas, holiday parties, and more. Events can be as small or as large as the client requires.

“We’ll go as big as their budget wants us to be,” Brown said.

Brown said she is usually booked a year in advance, however she does take last-minute bookings. Those interested in a consultation can contact Brown via email or telephone.

Sky’s the Limit offers total customization of events, aided by the close bond Brown has with her clients.

“I always create a rapport and a friendship, and I like to joke around a lot and really get along with clients,” she said

Brown, who began working in the event planning industry when she was just 16, said she always knew she wanted to work for herself one day. She said her favourite thing about planning big events is the adrenaline rush that comes with it.

“I thrive on the chaos of it,” she said. “I work really, really well under pressure. Especially as an event is getting closer...and it’s do or die, and I’m able to pull everything off in those last few days—it’s a natural high, and so much fun.”

Sky’s the Limit caters to events all across the Maritimes, with Brown and her team travelling as far as Cape Breton and Moncton to ensure someone’s special day goes off without a hitch.

“It’s so rewarding to me, at the end of an event or finishing a wedding...seeing that’s something I created from the beginning,” she said.
