SYDNEY, N.S. - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles picked up a 4-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads on Saturday night.

Antoine Morand put Halifax on the board early in the first period. Derek Gentile and Mitchell Balmas responded, giving Cape Breton a 2-1 lead heading into the second period.

Shawn Boudrias extended their lead to 3-1 early in the second. Jared McIsaac responded to bring the Herd within one.

But an empty netter from Leon Gawanke helped seal the deal for the Screaming Eagles.

On Monday, the Mooseheads welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to the Scotiabank Centre.
