Mooseheads top Voltigeurs 5-4 in double OT, tie series at 1-1

DRUMMONDVILLE, QC. - The Halifax Mooseheads topped the Drummondville Voltigeurs 5-4 in double overtime Saturday night.

The Voltigeurs got off to a strong start taking a 2-0 lead as Dawson Mercer and Cedric Desruisseaux each found the back of the Herd's net.

But Raphael Lavoie answered back in the second period with a pair of goals to tie things up at 2-2.

Max Camtois put Drummondville back on top but Lavoie responded with his third goal of the evening, completing the hat-trick.

Pavel Koltygin put Drummondville ahead midway through the third period but Samuel Asselin scored late to force overtime.

Arnaud Durandeau eventually iced it in double OT to tie the series up at 1-1.

Game three goes down Tuesday night in Halifax.
