Mooseheads pick up win 37 on the season against Charlottetown

HALIFAX - The Halifax Mooseheads picked up a  home win over the Charlottetown Islanders Wednesday night.
Raphaël Lavoie opened things up scoring just under seven minutes into the first period, giving the Herd a 1-0 lead.
About a minute later, rookie Samuel Dubé scored his first as a Moosehead before Charlottetown found the back of the net.
Halfway through the period, Nikita Alexandrov scored his 25th of the season for the Islanders midway through period number one.
It took until midway of the second for the next goal, which was scored after a nifty backhand by Joel Bishop, making it 3-1 Mooseheads.
Joel Bishop scored his second of the night from centre ice on an empty net making it a 4-1 decision, icing the game for the Mooseheads
On Friday, Halifax is home once again taking on the last place team in the Q, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
