BAIE-COMEAU, QC. - The Halifax Mooseheads are just one win away from moving onto round two of the playoffs after topping the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 8-1 Wednesday night.

Max Fortier put Halifax on the board near the midway point of the opening frame, but the Drakkar's Jordan Martel followed up quickly to tie it up at 1-1.

Raphael Lavoie managed to sneak one in on a power play before the end of the first to make it 2-1 after 20.

The second period was all Mooseheads, as Joel Bishop, Fortier and Jocktan Chainey all found the back of Baie-Comeau's net.

Ben Higgins, Arnaud Durandeau and Connor Moynihan added to the Herd's lead in the final frame to seal a dominating 8-1 victory.

Halifax leads the series 3-1 which means they may be able to advance to round two with a win on Friday.

Game five is set to take place on Friday in Baie-Comeau.
