Mooseheads pick up 5-4 OT win over Sags

CHICOUTIMI, QC. - The Halifax Mooseheads are back in the win column after a 5-4 overtime win against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on Friday night.

CHICOUTIMI, QC. - The Halifax Mooseheads are back in the win column after a 5-4 overtime win against the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on Friday night.

Both teams came to play as Theo Rochette and Artemi Kniazev netted a pair for the Sags while Arnaud Durandeau and Xavier Parent scored for the Mooseheads to make it 2-2 after 20 minutes.

It was more of the same in the second period as Chicoutimi's Justin Ducharme and Halifax's Antoine Morand each scored to keep the game tied at 3-3.

Samuel Houde opened up the third period with a quick goal for the Sags with Durandeau answering right back to keep the game tied and forcing overtime.

Morand scored the game winner to give the Herd the 5-4 victory.

On Saturday, the Mooseheads make their way to Baie-Comeau to take on the Drakkar.
