Mooseheads pick up 4-2 win over Wildcats, extend win streak to four straight

Halifax set a franchise record with most wins to start a season

MONCTON, N.B. - The Halifax Mooseheads improved to 4-0 Sunday afternoon with a 4-2 win over the Moncton Wildcats at the Avenir Centre.

The Herd outscored the Wildcats in the opening frame with Antoine Morand and Jordan Maher each finding the back of Moncton's net, with Adam Capannelli scoring for the Wildcats.

Simon Le Coultre tied it up for Moncton early in the second period but Arnaud Durandeau helped Halifax retake the lead heading into the third period.

Jocktan Chainey extended Halifax's lead midway through the third to seal the 4-2 victory.

The Mooseheads will make their way to Quebec City on Wednesday to take on the Quebec Remparts.
